प्रसाद (Pray Food)

 

ये थोड़ी पुरानी घटना है.

चूंकि, दुर्गापूजा में छुट्टियां ज्यादा होती है तो मैं अपने एक मित्र के यहाँ दिल्ली गया था... 

क्योंकि, वे लोग काफी दिन से मुझे अपने यहाँ आने को बुला रहे थे.

उस समय केंद्र में खान्ग्रेस की सरकार थी और शायद उसी वजह से... देश में सेक्युलरता अपने चरम पर थी.

खैर... हमलोगों की आदत है कि... हमलोग दुर्गापूजा के महाष्टमी को सुबह-सुबह ... नहा-धो कर मंदिर जाते हैं ... और, माँ दुर्गा को प्रसाद चढ़ाते हैं... 

तथा, प्रसाद खाने के बाद ही ... कुछ खाना वगैरह खाते है.

तो, महाष्टमी के दिन मैंने अपने मित्र से कहा कि.... आज महाष्टमी है तो...

चलो, मंदिर में आधा किलो लड्डू चढ़ा आते हैं.

क्योंकि, माता रानी को भोग लगाने के बाद ही हमलोग कुछ खाएँगे.

 इस पर मेरा सेक्युलर प्रवृति का दोस्त हंसने लगा और मुझसे कहा कि यार, क्या ये अंधविश्वास और रूढ़िवादिता नहीं है ???

आखिर, हम भगवान को भोग क्यों लगाते हैं ? 

हम जो कुछ भी भगवान को चढ़ाते हैं ....उसमें से भगवान क्या खाते हैं ?

और, क्या पीते हैं ?

क्या, हमारे चढ़ाए हुए पदार्थ के रुप रंग स्वाद या मात्रा में कोई परिवर्तन होता है ???

यदि नहीं तो हम यह कर्म क्यों करते हैं.

क्या यह पाखंड नहीं है ???

और, यदि यह पाखंड है... 

तो, हम भोग लगाने का पाखंड क्यों करें ?

हालांकि, मेरे मित्र ने कोई नई बात नहीं कही... क्योंकि, ये प्रश्न अंग्रेजी स्कूलों में पढ़े लिखे लोग अक्सर ही करते रहते हैं...

और, सबका यही तर्क होता है कि... चूँकि,  भगवान भोग खाते नहीं हैं .

इसीलिए ... भगवान को भोग लगाना एक पाखंड है. 

खैर.... मेरे मित्र का उठाया गया प्रश्न कोई नया नहीं था इसीलिए मुझे उसपर ज्यादा आश्चर्य नहीं हुआ.

और, मुझे जगतगुरु शंकराचार्य की कही बात याद आ गई जो उन्होंने एक टीवी डिबेट में कही थी.

मैंने उसे बताया कि.... 

👉 यह समझने की बात है कि जब हम प्रभु को भोग लगाते हैं तो वह उसमें से क्या ग्रहण करते हैं.

मान लीजिए कि.... आप लड्डू लेकर भगवान को भोग चढ़ाने मंदिर जा रहे हैं .... 

और,  रास्ते में आपका जानने वाला कोई मिलता है.... 

और, पूछता है  कि.... यह क्या है ???

तब, आप उसे बताते हैं कि यह लड्डू है.

फिर वह पूछता है कि... किसका है ??

तो... आप कहते हैं कि... यह "मेरा" है.

लेकिन....  जब आप वही मिष्ठान्न प्रभु के श्री चरणों में रख कर उन्हें समर्पित कर देते हैं... 

और, उसे लेकर घर को वापस चलते हैं... 

तब, फिर आपको जानने वाला कोई दूसरा मिलता है... 

और, वह पूछता है कि... यह क्या है ?

तब, आप कहते हैं कि... यह "प्रसाद" है.

फिर, वह पूछता है कि... "किसका" है ???

तब, आप कहते हैं कि यह "हनुमान जी का" है ।

अब समझने वाली बात यह है कि... लड्डू तो वही है.

उसके रंग रूप स्वाद परिमाण में कोई अंतर नहीं पड़ता है...

तो, प्रभु ने उसमें से क्या ग्रहण किया कि उसका नाम बदल गया ???

वास्तव में .... प्रभु ने मनुष्य के ""मम कार""  को हर लिया.

"यह मेरा है" का जो भाव था... 

एक अहंकार था.

जो, प्रभु के चरणों में समर्पित करते ही उसका हरण हो गया.

यही, भोग लगाने का रहस्य है.

प्रभु भोग खाते तो हैं ... लेकिन, वे लड्डू या बूंदी नहीं खाते... बल्कि, उसका "मम कार" खाते हैं.

इसीलिए.... प्रभु को भोग लगाने से मनुष्य विनीत स्वभाव का बनता है और शीलवान होता है.

अहंकार रहित स्वच्छ और निर्मल चित्त मन का बनता है.

इसीलिए... इसे पाखंड नहीं कहा जा सकता है.

क्योंकि, यह शुद्ध रूप से मनोविज्ञान है.

चूँकि, हमारा हिन्दू सनातन धर्म एक वैज्ञानिक धर्म है इसीलिए ... इस की हर एक गतिविधि में वैज्ञानिकता छुपी हुई है.

ये बात अलग है कि.... आप उस वैज्ञानिकता को समझ नहीं पाते और उसे पाखंड घोषित कर देते हैं.

अर्थात... कमी हमारे धर्म या परंपरा में नहीं है बल्कि... खुद हममें है...!

खैर.... हमारे इस बात विवाद के बाद... मेरा मित्र भी मुझसे कन्विंस हो गया.

और, हमदोंनो ने देवी माँ को प्रसाद चढ़ाया और घर आ गए.

इस घटना के बाद से आजतक मेरा मित्र हमेशा ही बिना प्रश्न किये खुद से ही मंदिर में प्रसाद चढ़ाता है.

  Since the holidays are more during Durga Puja, I went to a friend's place in Delhi...

 Because, those people were calling me to come here for a long time.

At that time there was a Congress government at the center and perhaps because of that... Secularism was at its peak in the country.

Well... we have a habit that... we go to the temple early in the morning on the mahashtami of durga puja... after taking a bath... and, offer prasad to maa durga...

And, only after eating prasad... eats some food etc.

So, on the day of Mahashtami, I told my friend that... if it is Mahashtami today...

 Come on, half a kilo of laddus come to the temple.

Because, we will eat something only after offering Bhog to Mata Rani.

On this my friend of secular nature started laughing and told me that…….

Man, isn't this superstition and stereotype???

After all, why do we offer bhog to God?

Whatever we offer to God, what does God eat out of it?

 And what do you drink?

 Is there any change in the appearance, color, taste or quantity of our offered substance???

If not, why do we do this karma?

Isn't this hypocrisy???

And, if it's hypocrisy...

 So, why should we indulge in the hypocrisy of offering bhog?

However, my friend didn't say anything new... Because, these questions are often asked by people who are educated in English schools...

 And, everyone's argument is that... Since, God does not eat bhog.

 That's why... offering bhog to God is a hypocrisy.

Well.... the question raised by my friend was not new, so I was not surprised much.

And, I remembered what Jagatguru Shankaracharya had said in a TV debate.

I told him that....

It is a matter to understand that when we offer Bhog to GOD, what does He take from it.

Suppose that.... you are going to the temple with laddus to offer bhog to God.

 And, on the way you meet someone you know....

 And, asks... what is this???

 Then, you tell him that it is laddoos.

 Then he asks... whose is it??

So... you say that... it's "mine".

But... when you keep the same sweets at the feet of the Lord and dedicate it to Him...

 And, take him and go back home...

 Then, then you find someone else to know...

 And, he asks... What is this?

Then, you say that... it is "Prasad".

Then, he asks... "Whose" is it???

 Then, you say that it is "Hanuman ji's".

Now the thing to understand is that... Laddu is the same.

 There is no difference in its color or taste.

 So, what did the Lord take from him that his name changed???

In fact .... the Lord took away the "Mama Car" (ego) of man.

The feeling of "this is mine" was...

 There was an ego.

Which, as soon as it was surrendered at the feet of the Lord, was lost.

That is the secret of enjoying.

Prabhu eats bhog... but, he does not eat laddus or boondi... rather, he eats his "mum car". (ego)

That's why... by offering Bhog to the Lord, a person becomes humble and humble.

 A clean and pure mind without ego is made of the mind.

That's why... it cannot be called hypocrisy.

 Because, this is purely psychology.

Since our Hindu Sanatan Dharma is a scientific religion, that's why there is a hidden scientificity in every activity of it.

It is a different matter that... you do not understand that science and declare it as hypocrisy.

That is... the deficiency is not in our religion or tradition, but... it is in ourselves...!

 So....

After we disputed this matter... my friend also got convinced with me.

 And, both of us offered prasad to the mother goddess and came home.

Since this incident, my friend always offers prasad in the temple by himself without asking any questions.
